New Stirling B&M store welcomed first customers with weekend opening

The doors of Stirling’s new B&M store in Springkerse opened at the weekend - with the help of a local charity.The team from Home-Start Stirling took centre stage on Saturday to officially unveil the new shop, which has created 62 jobs for local people.The new colleagues were asked to nominate a local charity they think truly deserves some VIP treatment for the work they do for the local community and they chose Home-Start Stirling.The charity is a local community network of trained volunteers and expert support helping families with young children through challenging times.

They work alongside parents, in their own homes, to help them cope with the stress and strains of life and make sure they have the skills, confidence and strength they need to nurture their children.In addition to opening the store, the team also received £250 worth of B&M vouchers which will go towards helping the charity to continue their work.The store manager said: “It was really exciting to welcome customers through the doors; the feedback so far has been fantastic.“A big thank you to the team at Home-Start Stirling who helped us open the store.
