Manchester United 'leaked' home kit for 2022/23 season offers blast from the past design

Leaked images of Manchester United's kit for the 2022-23 season have been released - with a retro twist. The design, which could see Cristiano Ronaldo spearhead the advertising for the first time since 2008, appears to be inspired by the 1994 shirts that featured a white collar with triangular designs on the trim but with the modern twist of the technologies that go into kit manufacturing.

It won't be the first strip inspired by those adorned of yesteryear after manufacturer Adidas took notes from the 90s designs for the current campaign.

A noticeable change from the traditional red and white seen on this season's kit, with the addition of the collar, and the three stripes synonymous with Adidas brand are black as opposed to their usual white.

With the conclusion of the season emerging on the horizon, often leaks and mock-ups appear suggesting what United could be walking out wearing come the opening day of next season in August.
