New Caribbean restaurant and bar set to open in former Stockport fancy dress shop

Plans have been put forward to Stockport Council for a new Caribbean bar and restaurant in the former Stage Door costume shop on the Underbanks in the Old Town.
The popular fancy dress shop was first opened in Stockport in 1971, but went up for sale a few years ago, with part of the unit now occupied by SJS Smith Jewellery.
A planning application for the new food and drink concept was submitted in September, and detailed the proposed changes to the other part of the building.
The application states that the primary design changes are focused on the interior space, but there are also modifications to the external front façade.
