Mum slammed over 'savage' tooth fairy note until parents realise 'clever' plan

A mum was accused of being 'cruel' over a tooth fairy note she left for her son - until parents realised her 'brilliant' plan.

The parent wrote the note from Angelica - the name that the family have always used for the tooth fairy - and left it under the youngster's pillow.

It read: "Sorry I couldn't take your tooth as it has a cavity, please ensure you brush more thoroughly in future." She later posted the note into a parenting Facebook group, where she quickly faced backlash over the 'savage' message, according to Manchester Evening News.One commenter wrote: "I ain't preaching as I'm very relaxed with my kids eating as they are a healthy weight, but just feel this is a bit harsh when all kids love the tooth fairy experience,".

Another said: "I know it’s hard times but this is savagery."But the mum explained that the note was written to her teenager, who was in on the whole thing - and it was all part of a plan to get her youngest to clean his teeth better."My teenager’s tooth came out last night, so the tooth fairy wrote this note, knowing my 7 year old will be more keen to brush his teeth in future," she said.After receiving some criticism, she later edited her post to add: "My teenager doesn’t believe in the tooth fairy, he wasn’t upset and agreed to this to encourage his little brother to brush his teeth."Parents who realised the grand plan from the off were quick to praise the mum's 'genius' idea.
