'Mean' cousins took advantage of 'vulnerable' man and stole his possessions

Two 'mean' cousins who took advantage of a 'vulnerable' man have been locked up. Owen Lawrence, 40, and Paul McDonagh, 36, have both been jailed for two years after they targeted a man with mental health issues.

They told him to buy drugs for them, and started hanging around his flat. Minshull Street Crown Court heard that he watched on helplessly as the pair stole his bike, Xbox and a laptop worth a total of £1,200 from his home in Ramsbottom, Bury, after claiming that he owed them money.

The court heard that he was 'intimated' by Lawrence and McDonagh. In the weeks prior to the incident in January, the pair would play games on his Xbox and smoke cigarettes.
