Maura Higgins forced to get medical help as she reveals painful rash on face
thesun.co.ukMAURA Higgins has sought medical help after getting a painful rash on her face. The Love Island star, 32, said she's been suffering with perioral dermatitis for a year now.
The condition is a skin disorder that presents as a rash around the mouth and can cause persistent redness, small bumps, scaling and itching.
Maura shared snaps of the red raw skin and told fans that she would be visiting a dermatologist in February. "Unfortunately I have been suffering with my skin the past couple of weeks," the Irish star told fans. "The acne has been occurring for a full year now (only on my chin area), which makes me think it's hormonal.

"During this crazy flare up I started to get a very red bumpy rash around my mouth." Maura asked her fans for help and was surprised by the number of followers who also suffer from the condition.
