Both Manchester United and Manchester City reportedly made last-gasp efforts to sign Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise - as Bayern Munich look to have won the race for the winger.

The 21-year-old is one of the names to be spoken about the most so far in the summer transfer window, with several Premier League clubs linked with an interest.

Chelsea were heavily linked, but it emerged on Friday night that they had withdrawn their interest, and Bayern Munich were winning the race for the France U21 international.

The Mirror now reports that United and City have both made their own attempts to take Olise. The two clubs are said to have made ‘late offers’ to take the player next summer, amid concerns over the Premier League’s financial restrictions.
