Interim boss John O'Shea will be taking charge of the Republic of Ireland's friendly games in March. The former Manchester United player turned coach has been picked by the Football Association of Ireland to lead the team.
He previously worked as an assistant to Stephen Kenny, a past manager. In his time as head coach, he'll enjoy support from Paddy McCarthy, a coach at Crystal Palace.
His leadership skills will be tested in matches against Belgium and Switzerland next month. O'Shea is a well-known face in the camp, with his 118 caps putting him third on the Republic's all-time list. He said: "I'm delighted to return to the senior men's coaching staff as interim head coach for the two international friendlies against Belgium and Switzerland. "It will be an incredible honour to lead the side into the March international window.
