Huge Emmerdale name quits to move to rival soap in huge shake-up

There are big changes happening in the world of soaps as an Emmerdale big name decides to join rival soap. Emmerdale boss Kate Brooks, from Emmerdale, is about to walk the cobbles of Coronation Street, causing quite a stir behind the scenes.

Kate has climbed the ranch to become head of Coronation Street as previous boss of Corrie, Iain Macleod has become Executive Producer for Continuing Drama at ITV.

Chatting about her new venture into Corrie, Kate seemed thrilled saying: "Corrie has lit up my living room since I was a kid, so to be asked to produce a show I've revered for such a long time is the ultimate pinch me moment. “I've adored the show from across the Pennines and have consistently been in awe of the talent on display, both on and off the screen."
