Man in court charged with murder of Omar Sadiq in Glasgow

Omar Sadiq in Glasgow. Hashim Uddin, 27, is alleged to have murdered the 32-year-old in the Pollok area of the city last month.

Sadiq was found in a pool of blood on Boydstone Road near the city's Silverburn shopping centre on September 15. Police launched a murder investigation after the 32-year-old died in hospital.Uddin was held in police custody overnight before appearing in the dock at Glasgow Sheriff Court this afternoon, Friday, October 2.He made no plea to the single charge of murder during the hearing, and was remanded in custody by Sheriff Joseph Platt.The case against him was continued for prosecutors to investigate further, and no future court dates have been set.He is expected to make a second appearance in connection with the.
