Man faces murder charge as Dundee cops probe 'suspicious' death of 43-year-old

A man has appeared in court charged with murder. Barry Murray, 43, was arrested by officers investigating the death of a 43-year-old man in Dundee at the weekend.The man, who has not yet been named, was found seriously injured at a property on Charleston Road shortly after 11pm on Saturday.He was rushed to Ninewells Hospital for treatment but sadly lost his fight for life on Sunday, March 31.

Police Scotland previously confirmed they were treating the death as 'suspicious'.Murray, from Dundee, was subsequently arrested and charged.

He made no plea during a private hearing at Dundee Sheriff Court on Tuesday.He was remanded in custody with the case submitted for further examination by prosecutors.
