A man has been charged following an alleged attack on another man outside a pub in Middleton. A 51-year-old man was reportedly attacked outside a pub on Wednesday (August 16).

Police said he was left unconscious. He remains in hospital and suffered 'life-changing injuries'. Wayne Langley, of Sycamore Avenue, Heywood, has now been charged in connection with the incident. The 39-year-old is set to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court today. He has been remanded into custody. In a statement issued this morning, a GMP spokesperson said: "A Rochdale man has been charged after another man was left with serious head injuries. "Wayne Langley (26/06/1984) of Sycamore Avenue, Heywood has been charged with S20 assault after a 51-year-old man was left unconscious outside a pub in Middleton.

He remains in hospital for treatment to life-changing injuries. "Langley has been remanded in custody and will appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court this morning, Saturday 19 August 2023."
