‘Elden Ring’ DLC probably won’t be ready for The Game Awards 2023
Elden Ring, Shadows of the Erdtree, likely won’t be previewed next week at the The Game Awards 2023.Speaking to Japanese publication Game Watch (with a translation provided by PCGamesN) at the PlayStation Partners Awards, producer Yasuhiro Kitao was asked whether the long-anticipated Elden Ring DLC will be unveiled at next week’s annual industry bash.Kitao replied, stating “It’ll be a little while yet, but progress is going well.” He then went on to specify that the DLC is “like Bloodborne” and that it has “new battles and new characters.”Kitao also spoke a little on FromSoftware’s development process, stating that its “long-standing stance has been to work diligently to create something interesting and valuable.”Elden Ring: Shadows of the Erdtree was officially announced in February of this year, with no real details available other than that the DLC is in development. Fans were hoping to see details from the expansion at The Game Awards 2023, as it was also a Geoff Keighley-hosted show, Summer Game Fest 2021, in which we saw a lengthy look at the base game, but that’s looking increasingly less likely as the event approaches.NME‘s review of Elden Ring stated that the game “exceeds every expectation”, with writer Andy Brown noting that:“A refined open-world format adds unimagined wonder to the game, whilst legacy dungeons will likely go down as some of FromSoftware’s best level design.

E3 2022 has been cancelled entirely
ESA) has confirmed that E3 2022 has been completely cancelled, with no digital or physical event planned. The news was first shared via Razer PR lead Will Powers yesterday (March 31), who said that he had received an email stating “E3 digital is [officially] cancelled for 2022.”Since then, the ESA has released a statement confirming that the event will not take place in either a physical or digital format in 2022, though “E3 will return in 2023 with a reinvigorated showcase that celebrates new and exciting video games and industry innovations.”“We will devote all our energy and resources to delivering a revitalised physical and digital E3 experience next summer. Whether enjoyed from the show floor or your favourite devices, the 2023 showcase will bring the community, media, and industry back together in an all-new format and interactive experience,” reads the statement, which added that E3 2023 will – as usual – be hosted in Los Angeles.Earlier in the year, the ESA confirmed that an in-person event for E3 2022 was cancelled due to “the ongoing health risks surrounding COVID-19 and its potential impact on the safety of exhibitors and attendees.”The showcase has been up in the air since then, as the ESA declined to comment on whether the physical event would be hosted digitally as it has been in recent years.Though E3 may be cancelled, it doesn’t mean that summer 2022 will be devoid of gaming news.

How to watch ‘The Wolf Among Us 2’ trailer reveal
Telltale Games has announced that The Wolf Among Us 2 is getting a reveal and trailer, so here’s how and when to tune into the event. The reveal event will be streaming on multiple platforms at 6PM GMT in the UK (10AM PT/1PM ET) and is set to include a full reveal trailer for the sequel to the five episode series that ran from 2013 to 2014.The event can be watched on Twitch here, or viewed below in the YouTube embed.Hosted by Geoff Keighley, all we know so far is that both a behind-the-scenes look and a trailer for the game will be revealed. The Wolf Among Us is a prequel to Bill Willingham’s Fables comic, and in the original game players controlled Bigby Wolf in Fabletown, located in Manhattan.Back in 2019 Telltale Games announced it was “under new management” following a majority studio closure the year prior. Reports had emerged alleging that Telltale Games had a culture of crunch and toxic management, and that staff had no warning of the closure, were given no severance, and just 30 minutes to collect their things and leave.Since the relaunch some of the laid off staff have apparently been offered freelance roles, and in an announcement Telltale games said “we’re doing things different this time.”Whilst the studio is continuing the narrative with The Wolf Among Us 2, it also announced that it was partnering with Deck Nine Games to develop a series based on science-fiction show The Expanse.Since 2017 Deck Nine has been responsible for a very similar style of episodic game, as it developed three Life Is Strange titles.
