Man arrested and another being hunted in connection with Johnstone murder bid

An 18-year-old male has been arrested and charged in connection with an attempted murder in Johnstone. One more male remains at large, say police.

The Paisley Daily Express reported previously how officers in Johnstone had issued an appeal for info regarding an alleged stabbing in the town.

Police say a 16-year-old male was assaulted and stabbed around 12.20pm on Wednesday, September 13, near Thorn Court on Thornhill.He was taken to hospital where medical staff describe his condition as stable.The 18-year-old is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Friday, 15 September, and officers continue to appeal for information on another male.He is described as slim, in his mid to late teens, with short brown hair.
