A man has been charged with multiple child sex offences following a police investigation into 'fake online accounts'. Greater Manchester Police’s Child Sexual Exploitation team launched a probe into 40 suspected offences between March 2020 and April 21.
The suspect is believed to have used fake online accounts to engage in sexual communication before committing sexual assaults, police said.
Scott Kirkham, 21, has since been charged in connection with the investigation. He has been charged with engaging in sexual communication with a child including inciting sexual activity, malicious communications, grooming and sexual assault, occurring actual bodily harm and engaging in penetrative sexual activity of a child.
