Made in Chelsea star Oliver Proudlock has apologised for his “insensitive” Instagram post referring to the Holocaust. The reality TV star made a reference to the 2008 film The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, which stars Rupert Friend.
He was wearing an outfit that bore a resemblance to the clothes the prisoners in the film were forced to wear by the Nazis, but came under fire for making light of the historical horror.
Sharing an image of himself posing in front of a mirror on Wednesday (August 18), Proudlock captioned the story: “Tha boy in the striped pyjamas.” Twitter users reposted the reality star’s image, and slammed his words as completely “insensitive” and the “biggest yikes I’ve seen in a while”.
