Lidl has recalled a further three types of cookies following fears that they are "unsafe to eat". An updated food alert to The Food Standards Agency (FSA) advised that the supermarket has recalled two more of its Tower Gate cookies and one packet of McEnnedy American Way cookies.
The products have been pulled over fears they contain pieces of metal. The most recent recall affects the Tower Gate Half Coated Chocolate Chunk Cookies (200g) and the Tower Gate Half Coated Fruit & Nut Cookies (200g), both with a best before date of 06/12/2024.
Meanwhile, the McEnnedy American Way Nougatelli (175g) have a best before date of 10/12/2024.As the products could contain the presence of metal, the supermarket chain has urged customers not to eat the product.
Instead, they are advised to return the affected products to store where a full refund will be provided with or without a receipt.Lidl said in its updated recall: "We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your cooperation.
