Liam James Payne (born 29 August 1993) is an English singer and songwriter.
He rose to fame as a member of the boy band One Direction.
Payne made his debut as a singer when he auditioned for the British television series The X Factor in 2008. After being eliminated as a solo performer, he auditioned again in 2010 and was put into a group with four other contestants to form One Direction

However, the autopsy report said the singer had fallen. Pablo Policicchio, communications director for the Buenos Aires Security Ministry, told Page Six that investigators are still working to determine if the fall was accidental or intentional.Payne fractured his skull and died instantly of “very serious injuries,” medical officials confirmed on Thursday.“Teadrops” — which Payne co-wrote with former *NSYNC member JC Chasez and frequent One Direction collaborator Jamie Scott — was released as the first single of what was supposed to be his second solo album.
