Dundee United will demand answers after being left fuming over the late call-off for their Premiership match with Livingston. The match at the Lions' Tony Macaroni Arena's artificial surface has already been called off once and a precautionary pitch inspection was called at 3pm amid freezing temperatures.
It passed that test but doubts remained over its playability and the game was called off by the officials shortly after 6:30pm, 75 minutes prior to kick-off.Tannadice head coach Liam Fox was left dismayed over the call, not for the decision, but for the timing of it that now leaves them and Dundee United supporters who were travelling to Livingston out of pocket.
He told Sportsound: "It is understandable but our concern earlier on was we weren't convinced it was going to be playable then.
We have obviously now had pre-match, come down the road and our supporters have left the house. It is not great and we will be looking for clarification on how they came to this decision."We need to seek some clarity and some confirmation on the way things are done to be honest.
