Two people were cut free from cars after a crash in Cheetham Hill last night. The smash happened on Sherborne Street, near the junction with Derby Street, just after 10pm on Sunday evening (April 21).
Police officers, firefighters and paramedics raced to the scene. A stretch of the road was cordoned off as crews responded. The crash involved two cars, a spokesperson for the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said. They were then taken into care of the paramedics on the scene. The extent of their injuries has not yet been confirmed at this stage.
In a statement issued last night, a spokesperson for GMFRS said: "Just after 10pm on Sunday 21 April, GMFRS crews were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Sherborne Street, Manchester. "Two fire engines from Manchester Central and Broughton stations, along with the technical response unit from Ashton, were quickly mobilised to the collision, which involved two cars.
