King Charles 'to hold summit with Kate and William' over future of royal roles
ok.co.ukKing Charles will reportedly hold a summit with the Prince and Princess of Wales and Camilla to outline his plans for the future of the monarchy.
According to sources, central to the King's plans will be to use Kate and William's "star quality" in a bid to keep the Commonwealth together.
It is thought he will nail down precise roles for himself and Queen Camilla as well as for the Prince and Princess of Wales in the summit which is due to be held at Balmoral Castle where the King is due to arrive on Monday.
A source told The Mirror: "His Majesty is very clear.The Commonwealth must be at the very heart of his reign. He sees it as his utmost duty to fulfil the sincere wish of his late mother, that one of his central roles must be to ensure not only the survival but the robustness (of the organisation)." Within the summit, King Charles will reveal his objectives for the future direction of the monarchy which will involve foreign travel, engagements and key aims.
