It looked a bad one as a distraught Tierney required a stretcher to leave the pitch and was consoled by Clarke as he lay prone receiving treatment near the tunnel in Cologne.Scotland battled on without him, Scott McKenna entering the fray to help his team to a point that means they can now secure progress to the last 16 of Euro 2024 by beating Hungary on Sunday.
But they'll have to do it without key man Tierney whose injury 'looks pretty bad.' A deflated Clarke told the BBC: "He's definitely out.
It looks pretty bad, obviously we have to assess it, but Kieran won't make the next game. You have to feel for him, he's got himself into great shape, he's a top player for us who does ever so well.
