Kate Garraway's co-star gives Derek Draper update saying he's 'not in a good way'

Kate Garraway's husband Derek Draper is said to be in "a bad way" after suffering a heart attack last week, according to her co-star.The presenter's Smooth FM colleague Jenni Falconer issued a worrying update to listeners on Tuesday morning.Derek was taken into hospital last week after suffering a heart attack and was said to be fighting for his life, writes The Mirror.Former Labour political aide Derek was first admitted to hospital with Covid-19 in March 2020 and had the worst coronavirus infection of any surviving patient.

He nearly died six times at the height of his fight with the virus however, it has left lasting damage to his body.Derek has suffered a series of health setbacks including inflammation of the brain, kidney failure, and liver and pancreas damage.Jenni said: "On behalf of everyone here at Smooth we're sending lots of love and Smooth best wishes to our very own Kate Garraway.

Kate's husband Derek as we all know has been struggling with long-lasting damage since he suffered from covid and it doesn't look good at the moment.
