Kate Garraway puts on a brave face with friend as she's pictured after Derek Draper's death

Kate, 56, put on a brave face as she stepped out in London on Friday, 26 January. She could be seen embracing a friend in the street as she wrapped up warm in a pink wool coat and patterned scarf, paired with a knitted beanie hat.
It marked the first time the mum-of-two has been seen since Derek sadly passed away aged 56. Kate announced her husband's heartbreaking death on 5 January, nearly four years after he first fell seriously ill with Covid.
Derek had suffered complications following a cardiac arrest in December. Kate is currently taking time away from GMB and is preparing for Derek's funeral, which will take place in North London next week, following an "emotional few weeks" for the entire family.
