Joanna Page has made it crystal clear that she's not up for a bikini scene in Gavin and Stacey. Stating her stance on the matter during an interview on BBC Breakfast, the 47-year-old actress, famed for her role as Stacey Shipman in the beloved BBC Three sitcom, alongside Mathew Horne as Gavin, has decided that beachwear scenes are not for her at this stage in her life. She declared: "I just hope that I haven't signed on to be running around on Barry beach in a bikini because I'm not doing that at 47." Joanna, who famously appeared without clothing in the festive favourite Love Actually as Judy with Martin Freeman, is now setting boundaries when it comes to her on-screen appearances, despite her past roles. The star also opened up about her astonishment regarding the unresolved ending of the Gavin and Stacey 2019 Christmas special, which left viewers on tenterhooks with a marriage proposal from Nessa (Ruth Jones) to Smithy (James Corden).

Joanna shared her eagerness along with the fans: "I am the same as everyone else. I can't wait to find out what has happened." Reflecting on her initial reaction to the cliffhanger, Joanna said: "I remember all those years ago reading the script for the last special, and I was doing it on my phone," reports the Mirror.

She added, expressing her shock: "I got to the end, and it said, 'Nessa goes down one knee', and I remember scrolling through thinking, 'That can't be the end'.

I am the same as everybody, what happens?"James Corden, who is back from his gig on The Late Late Show in LA, took to Instagram in May to confirm the whispers with a monochrome snap alongside Ruth Jones.
