After moving to Los Angeles, de Armas had English-speaking roles in the horror film Knock Knock (2015) and the crime drama War Dogs (2016). Jenna Ortega shared her thoughts on gender-swapped casting decisions in a new interview. The 21-year-old Wednesday actress is currently starring in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, the latest from director Tim Burton.

During an interview with MTV, Jenna was asked if she’d be interested in working with Tim on a reboot of Edward Scissorhands, with the lead being gender-swapped into Edith.

The actress shared her thoughts on the topic, and her response touched on the thought of casting a female version of James Bond, too. Keep reading to find out more… Jenna made it clear that she wasn’t into the idea of switching a character’s gender. “I love that there’s a lot more female leads nowadays,” she explained. “I think that’s so special, but we should have our own.” She continued, saying, “I don’t like it when it’s like a spinoff — I don’t want to see like Jamie Bond.
