Janey Godley reveals cancer has returned before upcoming 2023 tour

Janey was diagnosed with ovarian cancer last year and kept her fans updated throughout her journey.After gruelling chemotherapy treatment and a hysterectomy, Janey received a clear scan result in June but her latest test has revealed signs of the disease in her abdomen.She informed fans her cancer treatment will be resuming in a social media post today but said her upcoming Not Dead Yet Tour will still go ahead, Glasgow Live reports.In a Twitter video, Janey said she was determined to get back on stage but added it might be the last time she is able to perform live.She said: “My recent scan and my blood tests showed that my cancer marker went up.“There’s still a bit of disease in my abdomen.
So I want you all to know that I’ll be going through some more chemotherapy.“I also want you to know that I’m going ahead with the tour in February and March.
I am determined to get back on stage.“I’m looking forward to the tour, I think it’s fair and honest to say it might be the last time you see me live on stage.
I’m hoping it’s not, but I think it’s a fair estimation.”The tour will kick off in February and Janey is scheduled to perform across Scotland and in London.Fans of the comic sent their best wishes online.
