Janey Godley reveals cancer has returned before upcoming 2023 tour

Scots comedian Janey Godley is receiving further treatment for cancer after receiving the all clear earlier this year. Janey was diagnosed with ovarian cancer last year and kept her fans updated throughout her journey.After gruelling chemotherapy treatment and a hysterectomy, Janey received a clear scan result in June but her latest test has revealed signs of the disease in her abdomen.She informed fans her cancer treatment will be resuming in a social media post today but said her upcoming Not Dead Yet Tour will still go ahead, Glasgow Live reports.In a Twitter video, Janey said she was determined to get back on stage but added it might be the last time she is able to perform live.She said: “My recent scan and my blood tests showed that my cancer marker went up.“There’s still a bit of disease in my abdomen.

So I want you all to know that I’ll be going through some more chemotherapy.“I also want you to know that I’m going ahead with the tour in February and March.

I am determined to get back on stage.“I’m looking forward to the tour, I think it’s fair and honest to say it might be the last time you see me live on stage.

I’m hoping it’s not, but I think it’s a fair estimation.”The tour will kick off in February and Janey is scheduled to perform across Scotland and in London.Fans of the comic sent their best wishes online.
