ok.co.ukJames Martin has shared the three-word mantra that has helped him through his shock cancer diagnosis and gruelling treatment, during a rare update on his health.The TV chef was first diagnosed with facial cancer in 2017 and has been through a number of treatments since then, but in a recent appearance on ITV's Lorraine, he opened up on some good news about his health.
He told how all was looking good in his recovery at the moment, and declared "onwards and upwards" as he shared the latest on his condition with host Lorraine Kelly.
James, who has hosted cooking shows Saturday Morning and Saturday Kitchen, told Lorraine as she asked how he was doing: "Yes, the stitches have fallen out. "As you know, the last time I was on, I was in the middle of operations.
As we speak, the stitches have fallen out of my body at the moment and that's all clear. Onwards and upwards!" Lorraine replied: "I'm really pleased, it's great, great news!" After being diagnosed in 2017, James told fans last June that he had been "going through a lot of s**t with cancer", adding that he would be "going on a little bit of a break to get that sorted".
