Earlier this year, ITV chef James Martin who fronts his own cooking show and regularly appears on This Morning, revealed he had been battling skin cancer.

James' cancer has returned several times since he was diagnoses in 2017 and he has had to have treatment on his face.

He has since stepped back from the spotlight, telling the Mirror: "I will be back fighting at the end of February but I'm going on a little bit of a break to get that sorted. "I just wanted to say thank you for all your support and all your messages." What are the signs to look out for?

Ms. Shweta Aggarwal, Consultant Plastic Surgeon, specialising in skin and breast cancer at Nuffield Health told OK!: "The most dangerous type of skin cancer is melanoma. "The main sign to look out for with regards to melanoma is a change in an existing or new mole (including its size, shape, colour or symptoms such as bleeding or itching) . "The most common type of skin cancer is a basal cell carcinoma. "This cancer is not usually dangerous to life but can keep growing if left untreated.
