Sir Alex Ferguson is still looking for a buyer for his Cheshire home after putting it on the market last year. The legendary former Manchester United boss put his mansion in Wilmslow up for sale a month after the death of his wife Cathy.

The 82-year-old's wife passed away in October last year, aged 84, and left behind her husband, three sons, two sisters, 12 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

The pair met when the United manager was just 23, in 1964, and they got married two years later - with their union lasting 57 years.

Just a month after her death, in November, the former United manager put their five-bed property on the market with a £3.5 million price tag.
