Boy, 16, taken to hospital with 'serious injuries' after knife attack on residential street in Gorton

A 16-year-old boy was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after being knifed in Gorton on Tuesday (March 5). The teenager, who is thought to have got out of a taxi, was found with injuries to his hand on Forber Crescent at around 6.30pm.

Local residents reported that he had been attacked by a 'large group' before the residential street was cordoned off for a number of hours. Images taken from the scene showed the vehicle parked up with its hazard lights flashing, and officers seen inspecting the vehicle.

The boot was open and a first aid kit bag was pictured inside. Police have now confirmed the teenager sustained serious injuries to his hand in the knife attack and is in hospital for treatment.
