He punched her to the head during a 'disgraceful' attack in Salford. The pair, who were complete strangers, were out walking their dogs and came together after their pets took an 'interest' in each other. "This was a disgraceful piece of behaviour, an act of violence towards a woman who was just out walking her dog," Boyle was told by Judge John Potter. "It was made very much worse by you deciding to indulge yourself in insulting homophobic abuse towards your victim." Manchester Crown Court heard that the pair were both walking their dogs on Brookhouse Avenue in Eccles at about 5pm on Thursday, March 17, 2022.
They were initially walking on the opposite sides of the street but came together after their dogs showed an ‘interest’ in each other, prosecutor John Kennerley said.
