"I could do without this, to be honest with you": Tanning shop owner left 'truly disgusted' after customer urinates on sunbed... for the FIFTH time

The owner of a tanning salon in Oldham said she was left ‘truly disgusted’ after discovering a customer had urinated whilst using a sunbed for less than ten minutes.

Odelle Burney, who runs The Tanning Room salon on Thomas Street in Lees, said a customer went to use one of the sunbeds on Thursday afternoon (March 2) for a six-minute session.

Shortly after the woman left, Odelle said staff realised that the customer had urinated on the sunbed. Odelle said it’s the fifth time that such an incident has happened in the ten years she’s owned the shop. READ MORE: Manchester students claim mice are 'running over their feet' and 'living in sofas' at university halls “It’s crazy, I don't know what it is but it appears to be quite a common thing in sunbed shops,” Odelle told the M.E.N. “Maybe it’s just from people coming in from the cold and then the heat hits them and they can’t control their bladder, but it’s definitely not the first time it’s happened - we've had about five incidents in ten years.” Odelle said the incident was only discovered when a staff member decided to use the sunbed after finishing work. “The customer just scuffled nicely out of the shop and that was that,” Odelle said. “A member of staff had just finished their shift and went on the bed after her. "She put her tokens in, opened the bed’s door and then ended up slipping on the mat because it was so wet.

Then she started to notice the smell and lifted the mat up to discover what had happened."
