Huge fire breaks out at Scots industrial estate as emergency services rush to control blaze

A huge blaze has broken out at a Scots industrial estate with emergency services scrambling to the scene.The raging inferno engulfed the large warehouse in West Lothian on July 29 shortly after 11:40am with six fire engines racing to the incident.Shocked locals shared their concerns after seeing huge clouds of thick black smoke plummeting into the sky.There are no known casualties and one eyewitness reported that it is a car salesroom alight.

Another eyewitness told Edinburgh Live: "We were on the runway just about to take off and overheard some passengers talking about a big fire. "You could see huge plumes of smoke out the plane's windows and it looked like it was quite far in the distance.

Everyone was trying to work out where it could be coming from and it seems like West Lothian. Whatever is on fire, it must be huge.' A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 11.34am on Monday, 29 July, to reports of well-developed fire within a commercial building at Houston Industrial Estate on Grange Road, Livingston."Operations Control mobilised six fire engines and a high-reach appliance to the scene.
