Disgraced Prince Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson are set to join the rest of the Royal Family at their Balmoral estate this summer, where they will stay at the Craigowan cottage.He has been offered the use of one of the Queen’s favourite cottages, amid reports he may finally be kicked out of his home in Windsor.
He has lived at the 31-room Royal Lodge for more than 20 years where he is based with his ex-wife.It was earlier reported he may soon be forced to leave the house as the King told a security team on site they are no longer needed once their contract ends in the autumn.In what is being sold as a boost to Andrew, he is said to have been offered the exclusive use of his mother’s old cottage known as Craigowan on the Balmoral estate this summer by the King.
The insider added it will prove a welcome trip for the prince.They told the Express: "Andrew has hardly left Royal Lodge since Christmas so he's very much looking forward to getting away with the rest of the family at Balmoral."He's turned into a bit of a recluse, so the girls [Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie] are hoping that some nice family time will help cheer him up a bit and bring him out of his shell."It was previously reported Andrew could finally be forced to leave his Windsor home by October as his private security had been axed.
The King reportedly decided to fire the 10-man team to put more pressure on the Duke of York to leave his Royal Lodge home.Charles has been funding private guards at the Windsor property ever since Andrew’s armed cops were removed in 2022.
