Pep Guardiola's side overcame Japanese outfit Urawa Red Diamonds 3-0 on Tuesday thanks to an own goal from Marius Hoibraten and strikes from Mateo Kovacic and Bernardo Silva.
If City win the game on Friday they will become the first English team in history to hold the Premier League, FA Cup, UEFA Champions League, Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup at the same time.
The club's mini Club World Cup adventure has taken some focus away from their stuttering Premier League form. Saturday’s draw at home to Crystal Palace, which saw Michael Olise secure a 2-2 draw for the Eagles, made it three home draws in succession for City in the Premier League and just one win in six.
