HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) is set to pay out £300 to nearly a million households next month. The cash will make up the second part of the Cost of Living payment, worth a total of £900.
While HMRC is handing out the same Cost of Living payment as the Department for Work and Pensions, the payment date and qualifying benefits are slightly different.
Firstly, in order to receive a Cost of Living payment from HMRC, recipients must have received a payment from a qualifying Tax Credit from HMRC only between August 18, 2023 and September 17, 2023.
Eligible Tax Credits include Working Tax Credit, Child Tax Credit, and Pension Credit.
