This is the heartwarming moment an injured dog was reunited with his 'brother' after being struck in a hit-and-run. 13-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Barney, suffered major fractures to his pelvis following the incident in Stockport earlier this month.

Denise Morley, 75, earlier said she can't stop reliving what happened and now needs an extra £3,000 to help pay for Barney's treatment.

When Barney came home to recuperate in familiar surroundings - to the delight of their eight-year-old rescue bulldog, Bumble, she captured the heartwarming moment.

Denise said: "While Barney was away, Bumble was very agitated. He kept going to his bed and looking."
