Queen’s love of Paddington and special connection explained
ok.co.ukAfter the death of Queen Elizabeth II was announced, people across the UK have flocked to London to pay tribute to the late monarch, leaving gifts and cards outside Buckingham Palace.
While many mourners have opted to leave bouquets of flowers, others have chosen to leave Paddington Bear toys and drawings. The official Twitter account for Paddington Bear, a fictional character created by British author Michael Bond, even shared a sweet tribute to the late monarch following her death.The tweet read: "Thank you Ma'am, for everything." So far, the tweet has racked up one million likes and over 177,000 retweets, leaving some wondering what the connection between the Queen and the fictional character is.

In the book, Paddington visits Buckingham Palace and while he doesn't get to meet Her Majesty, he does say he spotted her in a window during his trip.
