Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's daughter Lilibet was called Princess for the first time at her christening, which was recently held at the couple's home in Montecito, California.
Harry, 38, and Meghan, 41, who are also parents to Archie, three, held an intimate ceremony at their mansion on 3 March for their one year old daughter with around 20-30 close friends in attendance.
A spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex confirmed: "I can confirm that Princess Lilibet Diana was christened on Friday, March 3 by the Archbishop of Los Angeles, the Rev John Taylor." The occasion marked the first time Lilibet has been publicly referred to as Princess, after being given the title when her grandfather, King Charles, 74, acceded to the throne.
The rules set out by King George V in 1917 mean Archie and Lili, as the children of a son of a sovereign, are automatically a prince and a princess and also now have an HRH style if they choose to use it.
