Manchester's very own Luke won the latest series of Great British Sewing Bee tonight (Wednesday, July 24). The finale of the beloved BBC One series saw Pascha, Luke, and Ailsa go head to head in numerous tasks, including crafting opera gloves and the reinvention of party paraphernalia into a complete party look.

Luke impressed with his exquisite pair of opera gloves whilst Pascha shone with her stunning party dress. Judges Patrick Grant and Esme Young were particularly taken with these pieces.

However, it was Luke who stole the show, besting both Pascha and Ailsa in the final Made to Measure task. This particular challenge required competitors to drape fabric onto their models to create beautiful outfits.

But Luke was crowned the winner after beating Pascha and Ailsa in the final. They were awarded the coveted trophy and title of Britain's Best Amateur Sewer.
