Giovanni Pernice addresses Amanda Abbington row with 10-word comment as he's put on the spot
ok.co.ukGiovanni Pernice addressed his feud with Amanda Abbington on Lorraine today.The Strictly Come Dancing professional was there to discuss his new show when host Lorraine Kelly put him on the spot by asking about Amanda.
Giovanni has been part of Strictly Come Dancing since 2015, and appeared on the ITV breakfast show alongside Strictly dancer turned judge Anton Du Beke.The pair were on the ITV show to discuss their ongoing BBC travel series, Anton & Giovanni’s Adventures in Spain which returned on Monday 18 March.
However, during their discussion about the show, Lorraine put Giovanni on the spot. She said: “We know with Strictly that sometimes it doesn’t work, Giovanni, it didn’t work the last time.
Are you going to change anything?” She added: “I know you’re a perfectionist. You just want to win and I don’t blame you for that.” Giovanni responded with: “It’s not just about the winning.” And added: “It’s a shame because as I’ve said in the past, it was a shame because with Amanda, we could have gone all the way to the final, a great talent.” Lorraine then said: “Just sometimes it’s not going to gel and I guess that must happen.” Giovanni added: “But again, you’re there to put this in perspective of being the best they can, and Amanda as I said was a great, great talent, great dancer.” Anton then remarked: “I thought you were marvellous.
