Gemma Atkinson claims ‘liar’ ex cheated on her and was exposed on Instagram

Gemma Atkinson has slammed an ex-boyfriend as a "liar" as she opens up about discovering that he had allegedly been cheating on her.

The former Hollyoaks actress, 38, who is now happily engaged to Strictly Come Dancing pro dancer Gorka Márquez, discussed the previous relationship on her podcast The Over Share.

Recalling how she discovered the ex had apparently been unfaithful while they were holidaying together, Gemma explained: "My ex was cheating on me and I found out on Instagram.

A lovely lady DM'd me on Instagram when we were on holiday. "I put a picture of a sunset on my grid and he stupidly put it as his WhatsApp profile picture and he told her he was in Florida with the lads and he was in the Bahamas." Adding that both she and the other woman had no idea that the other existed, Gemma continued: "We were both kind of swept off our feet at the time by someone who we thought was wonderful but it turned out that he was a liar and just a really crappy person." Gemma is now happily engaged to Gorka, 33, with whom she has welcomed two children, three year old daughter Mia, and newborn son Thiago.
