Millions of households all across the country will receive £150 off their electricity bill this winter through the Warm Home Discount.

The scheme, which reopened today (October 16) will see pensioners and some households on low income get some cash off their bills from now until March 2024.

However, not all suppliers are taking part and eligibility may vary depending on where in the country you live. For example, different criteria are set by suppliers in Scotland, which means you may have to contact them first.

While the discount should be applied automatically for all those eligible, there are some cases where you will need to apply yourself first.
