Family are 'incredibly proud' of their organ donor son who died aged 23

The family of an East Kilbride man who donated his organs to transform the lives of others have spoken of their pride as he was honoured this week.Alexandra Carrigan, also from East Kilbride, received the Order of St John Award for Organ and Tissue Donation on behalf of son Scott Carrigan who lost his life last August, aged 23.Scott had registered his decision on the NHS Organ Donor Register when he was 18 and had discussed it with his mum, meaning his family were able to honour his decision.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
