‘Euphoria’ Season 3 to Begin Filming in January 2025 With Entire Main Cast Returning

The long-delayed third season of the Emmy-winning HBO series will begin shooting in January 2025 with all principal cast members returning, per HBO. “I am thrilled that we are ready to begin production on ‘Euphoria’ in January.
We could not be happier with our creative partnership with Sam and this incredible cast. We look forward to bringing this new season of ‘Euphoria’ to life for the fans,” said Francesca Orsi, executive vice president of HBO programming and head of HBO drama series and films.
This means that production on Season 3 will begin almost exactly three years after the premiere of Season 2. HBO originally announced that production on the new season had been delayed in March 2024.
The hold up can be attributed to multiple factors. Those include: the writers’ and actors’ strike in 2023; the show’s cast experiencing a massive surge in popularity and thus booking themselves into multiple other projects; and creator Sam Levinson’s desire to write the entire show himself.
