Emmerdale star blasts ITV bosses over exit - 'I burst into tears'
ok.co.ukEmmerdale star Katherine Dow Blyton has criticised soap bosses for the way they handled her character's exit.The actress portrayed Harriet Finch in the ITV soap from 2013 until 2022.
Harriet was killed off during Emmerdale's 50th anniversary in October 2022. She fell off a quad bike during a huge storm and was then crushed by the bike after an explosion.
Actress Katherine has now opened up about leaving Emmerdale and her reaction when she was informed her character would be killed off.The star also shared her thoughts on Harriet's development on the soap, criticising bosses' storylines for the character. “I went up [to the office] and they basically said, ‘We love Harriet and we're going to give her a good death'.
I did sit there for ten seconds thinking, have I done something wrong? They say don't take it personally but it's impossible not to," Katherine admitted on the Soap From The Box podcast.
