Alison Hammond has hit back at some cruel comments after she was targeted by social media trolls. Writing on X, formerly Twitter, one individual wrote: "I imagine @AlisonHammond is a real nasty piece of work now, started to beleive her own hype #gbbosu2c #SUTC #GBBO." Responding to this, the TV presenter wrote: "Why is that I’ll be having a lovely day and then someone who doesn’t know from Adam writes such nasty message.

Alison also hit back at as second troll who penned: "No talent but gets loads of work because she ticks the right boxes", to which she quipped: "The only box I’m ticking today is block Yash." Among those offering words of support to Alison was Emmerdale star Lucy Pargeter.The Chas Dingle actress wrote: "Send them my way way babe." Another fan added: "Just haters, I love you on bake off, brightens up my day!" "I’m sorry you get this kind of abuse, Alison.

You’re a beautiful woman inside and out. I love seeing you on my screen. You’re a breath of fresh air who brings joy to so many of us.Thank you", penned a third.

And a fourth replied: "Ignore them bab. You’re one in a million and those of us that have had the pleasure to meet and work with you know this is anything but the truth x." Alison previously faced a number of rude comments online after it was announced that she would be fronting the next series of For The Love Of Dogs.The show was previously presented by the late Paul O'Grady, who passed away last year.
