Sex Education stars Emma Mackey and Aimee Lou Wood sent fans wild with their friendship goals at the 2023 EE BAFTA Film Awards on Sunday 19 February.

During the star-studded ceremony, Emma, 27, won the EE Rising Star Award after being nominated alongside Sheila Atim, Daryl McCormack, Naomi Ackie and Aimee, 29.

Upon winning the award, a stunned Emma made her way to the stage to accept the gong to which Aimee in the audience mouthed "love you" to her Sex Education co-star.

While during her acceptance speech, Emma gave a shout out to her friend to which the camera panned on a tearful and emotional Aimee, who couldn't contain her pride for her pal winning.

‘All Quiet on the Western Front’ Dominates BAFTA Awards With Record-Breaking Seven Wins

BAFTA Awards in London on Sunday night with a record-breaking seven wins, including for Best Director, Best Film and Best Film Not in the English Language. The tally means the World War One epic now holds the record for a film not in the English language. The previous record was held by 1988 film “Cinema Paradiso,” which won five BAFTAs. Meanwhile Colin Farrell starrer “The Banshees Of Inisherin” won the second largest number of awards of the night, including both supporting actor categories with wins for Barry Keoghan and Kerry Condon (who emerged as the correct winner after fellow nominee Carey Mulligan’s name was initially called in error.)
