A part of the country has been hit by an earthquake with a 1.8 magnitude on the Richter scale, according to data recorded this week.
Wales Online reports the epicentre of the quake on Wednesday was in a small rural village in Pen Llyn in Gwynedd - but the effects could be felt two miles away.Data recorded by the British Geological Survey (BGS) said the tremor was centred on Capel Carmel, at a depth of 19km.North Wales Live also reports it is not the first time the area has experienced a quake this year with Wednesday's incident being the fourth recorded.One tremor in Llanfigael on Anglesey measured 1.3 on the Richter scale.
